Check out my other items!                                                                                   Marc Chagall1887  -  1985This is a one off Chagall invitation Off Set Lithograph I have by this extraordinary Russian Jewish painter,  famous for his very expressive colourful art, this being typical of his fantasy images, this lithograph was produced and pressed on fine quality paper in 1987 especially for GALERIE ADRIEN MAEGHT. Signed in the plate. A truly beautiful stunning piece and chance to own a lovely piece of history. thinking of spending good money on a piece of artwork or anything
for that matter should
know & understand what they are buying.
Lithograph.  In brief a steel plate
is used, one for each separate colour of the image as opposed to 4 x
colour print process where only 4 colours ( Red, Blue, Yellow & Black inks) are used in different density
to make every colour required in tinny dots, Yellow & Blue dots make
Green for example. Look under a magnifying glass at a colour magazine or newsprint image (colours are made up of dots.)It would be very difficult to go into detail here and now on all the different types of
printing processes that have evolved over the years, it would be far
too long an essay but if you do not know what an etching, lithograph or
off set lithograph is please use Google or any other information
method, you owe it to yourself to know exactly what you are buying
